KOOL ‘N FIT Sport Announces Support of Connect for the CURE Cross Country Ride For Diabetes
SAN DIEGO — May 7, 2010 — KOOL ‘N FIT Sport, the world’s first sports performance spray — has announced its product sponsorship support of Connect for the CURE, a Los Angeles to New York cycling journey in June by three Azusa Pacific University students to generate awareness and raise financial support for diabetes research.
“We are riding to raise and contribute enough money, awareness, and support to ultimately find a cure for diabetes,” said Ryan Rosenhahn, cyclist and organizer for Connect for the CURE. “We are raising $100,000 toward finding the cure of diabetes, and to ultimately secure a brighter future for those who have been directly and indirectly affected by this tragic disease in any and all factors available to them.”
To minimize fatigue and injury risk, to maximize athletic output, and to revitalize faster while cycling across America, the three students have chosen all-natural KOOL ‘N FIT Sport Performance Spray to help perform better.
“We are proud that KOOL ‘N FIT Sport Performance Spray has been selected by the Connect for the CURE riders to keep them fit, healthy, and invigorated during the ride” said Hubert von der Beeck, president of KOOL ‘N FIT Sport. “Their endeavor requires maximum physical output, avoidance of fatigue and cramps, and a fast nightly recovery, all of which will be greatly enhanced by our product. We salute these three college students from Azusa Pacific University for their noble effort. They represent the best of today’s youth!”
In an effort to strengthen their mission, Rosenhahn said his group is teaming up with the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure. Connect for the Cure donations will generate the resources necessary to draw awareness of diabetes and advance much needed research. Connect for the CURE is a non-profit fundraiser, with all proceeds going directly to the American Diabetes Association, and all donations are tax deductible.
Diabetes affects 23.6 million people in the United States, and is the fastest growing disease in the world today. Each year 1.6 million new cases of diabetes are diagnosed in people age 20 years and older around the world. One in three of children born in the U.S. after the year 2000 will have diabetes by their early to mid adulthood. Diabetes often causes heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, blindness, kidney disease, nervous system disease and well likely result in an amputation of some sort.
