SEAL — Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation Announces June 15 ‘A Night to Remember’ Event at Los Angeles Center Studios

“Hollywood Elite, Corporate Leaders and American Military Heroes Join Together for Special Night of Special Operations Equipment Demos, Dinner & Dancing, Keynote by Retired General Wesley Clark”

LOS ANGELES — May 7, 2013 — “A Night to Remember” an extraordinary event to benefit the SEAL-Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation is set for June 15 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at the Los Angeles Center Studios, 1201 West Fifth Street in downtown Los Angeles. The SEAL-NSW Family Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for special programs in direct support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) families on a local, national and global scale.

The event, which will support the Navy SEALs, their fellow warriors at Naval Special Warfare and their families, will transport guests to a mock Military Forward Operating Base in a far off land to view high tech military demonstrations, view and demo a wide array special operations military equipment, all while enjoying Hollywood entertainment, fine food and wine, exciting silent and live auctions and a keynote address by Retired General Wesley Clarke.

“Guests will have an unparalleled access to many of the weapons and tools that our Special Operations Forces use to carry out their missions,” said John Galt, CEO of the NSW Family Foundation. “There will be myriad opportunities for guests to touch, be briefed and in many cases personally experience what it is like to work with these technologically advanced and seldom seen products, services and systems that keep our military members safe.”

The event will feature interactive displays, kinetic demonstrations and unprecedented access to an exciting array of state-of-the-art equipment including drones, weapon systems of all types, infrared and night vision equipment, tactical gear, lasers, advance communication and translation systems, and the K-9 Dogs of War. The Los Angeles Center Studios, a full-service 20-acre studio for TV, film and commercial production, is being donated for the evening and will be transformed into a menagerie of military sensory delights and electronic wonderment for guests to experience up close and personal.

The evening schedule will include:
• VIP Reception (5:30 to 6:00 p.m.) with fine wines, specially prepared foods and guests will get to handle some of the coolest “toys” on the planet;
• General Reception (6:00 to 7:00 p.m.) The program will begin with a team of veteran skydivers parachuting into the Los Angeles Equestrian Center. Guests will mingle amongst an array of cutting edge military equipment housed in a massive 18,000 square foot hanger — meet and thank some of our nation’s warriors;
• Keynote Address and Program (7:00 to 10:00 p.m.) Guests will be treated to an informative and entertaining program, which will include Medal of Honor winners, military spouses, and a keynote address with Retired General Wesley Clarke,
• The After Party (10:00 p.m. to midnight) — Guests will be treated to a special show and dancing by the only official chartered USO show troupe, the USO Liberty Bells. The Liberty Bells travel throughout the world performing for service men and women, their families, veterans and audiences that actively support the troops here and abroad.

There will be a Live Auction the night of the event, an Online Auction for those guests unable to attend, and a Silent Auction featuring historic and military memorabilia, signed entertainment memorabilia, adventure packages, and destination experiences.
