San Marcos Brewery & Grill Announces Special ‘2 for $22’ Dinner Menu as Part of ‘Don’t Cook Tuesdays’ Promotion

SAN MARCOS, CA — June 12, 2010 — The San Marcos Brewery & Grill has announced a special “2 for $22” dinner menu as part of the special “Don’t Cook Tuesdays” promotional program featuring San Marcos restaurants. The San Marcos Brewery & Grill is located at Old California Restaurant Row at 1020 San Marcos Boulevard in San Marcos.

Dean Jacobsen, general manager of the San Marcos Brewery & Grill, said that “Don’t Cook Tuesdays” is part of the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce’s “In San Marcos” campaign. The special restaurant promotion was developed to increase familiarity and patronage of San Marcos restaurants within the local community. The San Marcos Brewery & Grill offers menu specials every Tuesday night that are either regular menu items provided at a discounted price or a special dish offered only on Tuesday nights.

Jacobsen said the special “2 for $22” menu features two entrees from the San Marcos Brewery & Grill’s select menu and a choice of appetizer or dessert to share. Available every Tuesday, the special menu includes a choice of Appetizers, including Fried Calamari with Cocktail Sauce; Beer Battered Mozzarella with Marinara and Ranch sauces; Hot & Spicy Buffalo Wings; or Potato Skins with Ranch Dressing. Dinner Specials of the Day for “Don’t Cook Tuesdays” include a choice of Dijon Chicken, grilled chicken smothered in creamed dijon sauce; Teriyaki Glazed Shrimp Brochette, char-grilled shrimp brochette served over a bed of rice with fresh sautéed vegetables; or Petite Top Sirloin, a six ounce char-broiled top sirloin steak. Other regular menu entrees featured during “Don’t Cook Tuesdays” include Grilled Salmon, Fish & Chips, Chicken Bowtie Pasta and the Grill’s famous Pork Chops. The featured dessert selection includes a choice of New York Cheesecake; Chocolate Brownie Sundae; Hot Fudge Sundae; Carrot Cake; or Warmed Apple Crumb Cake. Dinner starts at 4:00 p.m. every Tuesday. Beverages, taxes and gratuities are not included in the price.

“In addition to our full service restaurant, that serves ‘American Grill’ classics — steaks, pasta, seafood, burgers, sandwiches and salads — we are renowned in North County for producing only the finest ‘handcrafted ales’ from our on-premise micro-brewery and serve each glass fresh from the tap,” said Jacobsen. “Our handcrafted ales include: California Pale, Red Amber, Golden Premium, Honey Ale and Unfiltered Wheat. And Old English Ale and Oatmeal Stout are dispensed through a traditional hand pump creating a distinct similarity to an authentic English Ale.”
