SEAL – Naval Special Warfare Family Foundation Announces Spectacular Spring Fundraising Events in San Diego, Charlotte and Los Angeles

SAN DIEGO — February 25, 2014 — The SEAL-Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Family Foundation has announced a spectacular spring lineup of high-profile fundraising events, including March 22 at the Del Mar Country Club in San Diego, March 27 at the Quail Hollow Country Club in Charlotte, NC and May 3 at the Jonathan Beach Club in Santa Monica, CA. The SEAL – NSW Family Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that raises awareness and funds for special programs in direct support of the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) families on a local, national and global scale.

Philanthropist Madeleine Pickens and The Del Mar Country Club will host this spring’s first event — a March 22 fundraiser which kicks off with a Scramble Golf Tournament followed by evening festivities including Live and Silent auctions, dinner and entertainment, and speakers including Vice Admiral Robert S. Harward, Jr., a Navy SEAL and former Deputy Commander of the U.S. Central Command; and Michael Thornton, retired Navy SEAL and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient. “An Evening to Support the NSW Warriors and Their Families” is set for May 3 at the spectacular Jonathan Beach Club, steps away from the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica. The event will be A Night to Remember, Even by Hollywood Standards — bringing together an exciting array of glamorous guests, sensational food and entertainment and extraordinary speakers lineup led by Keynote Speaker General James N. Mattis, Vice Admiral Robert S. Harward and former President of Mexico Vincente Fox. Special guests will include Michael Thornton, retired Navy SEAL and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, and Johnny Walker Black, who guided and interpreted for US Navy SEALs on various missions in Iraq and will be on-hand to sign his new book “Code Name Johnny Walker.” The gala will begin with a VIP reception from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., following by a Reception from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the dinner, speakers program and entertainment from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. There will be Live, Silent and Online auctions featuring once in a lifetime items and experiences.
