Slidepad Technologies Retains MMC for National Marketing Public Relations; Maker of Revolutionary Single Lever Bicycle Brake System

San Diego, Calif. — Merrill Marketing Communications (MMC) has been retained by Palo Alto-based Slidepad Technologies to handle the national marketing public relations for its revolutionary single-lever brake system. The Slidepad system provides recreational cyclists with a braking system that uses the force of the rear wheel to intelligently modulate the front brake. The system makes riding safer and easier by alleviating the risk of front wheel lockup accidents caused by rider error, while simplifying the user experience making cycling even more enjoyable. Slidepad will be attending Interbike in Las Vegas, September 18-20 (Booth #1051) and will be spotlighting 2014 bicycle models that will come standard with its system, including Jamis Bicycles® Hudson Sport, Sport SX and Sport Deluxe; Torker Bicycles T510 and Sun Bicycles Drifter 8.

About Slidepad Technologies Inc.

Slidepad’s Intelligent Brake Distribution (IBD) technology easily integrates into existing v-brake systems to provide an intuitive single lever braking experience to casual cyclists. In addition to making braking easier and more efficient, the technology is able to intelligently modulate the front brake force in real time, based on the road surface and rider weight position, to avoid front wheel lockup, like ABS for the front brake. In addition to the Hudson Sport models, Slidepad is also specified on the Jamis’ Commuter 1, 2, 3 and 4 models. For more information visit www.getslidepad.com.
